Other than Ryan Gosling, William Lee Scott and George Clooney were considered for the role of Frank.

For Rachel, Jennifer Hudson was the only actress considered.

As for Harry, it came down to Brendan Sexton, Dane DeHaan, and Mark Webber.

Morgan Freeman was the only actor considered for Isiah.  The producer has always wanted to work with him and now can cross that off his list.

Due to time and energy concerns, the producer decided to make this a two part film.

There are two cameos in the movie.

For the role of Oscar host, the producer also considered Conan O'Brien.

For Lisa, Phylicia Rashad was also considered.

For Phil, Dave Bautista was also considered.

One focus of the remake was to show more of the process that takes place during Oscar season.  Another is to answer some questions that the original film never did.
